KEELY AND DU IS ON SALE NOW!

Scapegoat Initiative opens its doors with Jane Martin’s controversial 1994 Pulitzer-nominated satire Keely and Du. It is a taut drama that chronicles the fate of pregnant kidnapping victim Keely, held for months in a suburban basement-turned prison. The play focuses on Keely’s evolving relationship with her seemingly warmhearted adversary Du, a fundamentalist Christian woman who guards Keely to prevent her from terminating her unwanted pregnancy.

According to director Dustin Britt, “the rampant eradication of reproductive rights in the United States has entered a new era — a shamelessly fascistic one. Decades of progress toward reproductive justice is being undermined before our very eyes. With this play, we want to bring audiences face-to-face with the key players in this battle for survival. Hopefully we can get past the hypotheticals and statistics and really understand the intimate, human cost of these draconian abortion bans.”

Scapegoat Initiative is proud to provide ticket pricing options based on a Pay-What-You-Can model. We believe that theatre should be accessible, no matter your ability to pay. We find that communities are able to support one another best through this model and welcome anyone who can to pay a little more, and anyone who can’t to come see the show for a free/reduced price.

Our ticketing structure is as follows:

Standard Ticket Pricing

If you wish to purchase a standard priced ticket, they are $25 flat, inclusive of fees and tax.

Pay-What-You-Can Pricing

This is the first of two “pay-what-you-can” pricing options we have to offer. This option allows you to set your price, with a minimum of $5. This helps offset the fees that Scapegoat Initiative has to pay, but keeps pricing on a sliding scale for those that can afford it.

No-Cost Tickets

For those who need a truly free option to see the show, we offer a comp code to utilize at checkout. This option must be used by first selecting the “Standard Ticket” and then entering the code at checkout. Please note this must be processed in a separate transaction from any other paid tickets. To obtain a comped ticket, use code FREEKEELY and add it as a Promo Code at checkout, and there is a limit of one use per transaction.

Watch the video below for instructions on no-cost tickets:

We also offer the ability to donate through our ticketing site at the checkout page. Donations ensure we’re able to keep theatre accessible to all and support local community organizations.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: All sales are final. We are unable to issue refunds for any reason at this time.
